BULLGOON: A DEFINITION
Just your average twentysomething 'mo, originally from the suburbs of New Haven and a wanderer thereafter to upstate New York, Miami, Boston, Southern California, NYC, and now Washington, DC. When I'm not working my day-job, I like to dabble as an amateur drawer, photographer, and 'chronicler' of big, burly lugs (a.k.a. 'bullgoons') and their intersections with uniforms, hypermasculinity, authority, authoritarian aesthetics, police work, politics, dominance/submission, and body growth. With that in mind, this blog primarily serves as a space to project an imagined, tongue-in-cheek 'Goonited States' as relayed through assorted sketches/drawings/photos as well as other bullgoon-related stuff I stumble across on the internets. Some old school '80s kid memories, demi-daily cityscape photos ('Daily Landscape(s)') and other bloggish errata are thrown in for good measure. Do note: All of my original full-size photos can be found at my Flickr account listed above.
Above all, this blog is created in the spirit of appreciation of big lug and LEO aesthetics. If you have a problem with the content, or can't digest it without ascribing simplistic political interpretations to it, please go elsewhere; thanks!
